Charleston!!

A few weeks ago we headed to our very favorite vacation spot--Charleston!  We hadn't been in two years, and we were itching to go back.  I love every single thing about Charleston.  There's SO much to do there, especially with kids.  This year we got to spend a lot of time with Cory's aunt Kathy and Uncle James which was so nice.  There granddaughter, Ava, lives with them so Luke had a little friend to play with.  

We usually stay in the heart of downtown Charleston, but since we have two little ones now, we thought it would be easier to stay on the beach.  So we found a great condo right on the beach in Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms.   I have lots of pictures to post so I'll just divide them up by the different parts of our vacation--the beach, downtown Charleston, etc...

We confirmed on this road trip that Luke is a rock-star traveler, and that Cate is the world's worst traveler.  It's funny because Luke is difficult is so many other areas, but traveling is just so easy with him.  He's so happy and content the whole time.  He sleeps well, and then is happy to watch his dvds when he's awake.  Cate on the other hand doesn't sleep well in the car, and if she's awake she's fussing.  She could care less about watching the dvd player--unless the Backyardigans theme song is on.  And believe me we played that theme song over and over and over just to have a few minutes peace!  Seriously.  Fussing.  She's so easy, but man oh man, she is just not a good road tripper.  

By the time we got to Charleston, we were all delirious and ready to be out of the car!
