We are absolutely loving our new house, and everything about it. Needless to say we were squished in our old house so it's nice to have a place to spread out especially with Cate on the way--and all of her baby gear!
Since it's been so hot and with my restricted activity because of some pregnancy issues, we haven't been able to get out and walk around the neighborhood and meet many of the neighbors yet. But tonight one of the 'neighbors' came to meet us! Luke and I were walking in from getting the mail, and the cutest kitten ran right up to Luke! He hasn't been around many cats but he was so sweet, and the cat loved all the attention!
We stayed outside until Cory got home from work so we could show him the cat. He wasn't quite as excited as we were--his first words were "We're not keeping it!". This is exactly how we ended up with our dog, Ralph--he was a stray dog that we just HAD to keep.

I love that Luke isn't afraid of animals, and that he loves giving them hugs! It was even Luke's idea to give the cat some water since it was so hot outside! He has such a caring, sweet heart.
