Sweet Cate turned SIX months old this week! I can hardly believe it. It's flying by even faster than I thought it would.
At six months:
~Cate is the sweetest, happiest, most content baby ever. She's just the easiest baby and goes with the flow. She definitely makes it easy to have two children to take care of. The only time she gets really upset is when we leave her in the church nursery. It seems like she's having some separation anxiety--we've gotten paged to come get her the past few weeks. Luke went through this same thing so we're not shocked. We know she'll get over it eventually.
~She weighs 17 pounds which put her in the 75th percentile for weight. And I can't remember how tall she is but it's in the 25th percentile for height. She has the most pinchable thighs and the kissiest cheeks!
~Cate finally rolled over last week! She can roll from her back to her belly--but not from her belly to back yet. Her pediatrician just laughed about it at her six month appt because her chunkiness isn't helping her at all! She is however sitting up really well! She loves to sit and play with her toys or watch Luke play. We still put a pillow behind her because she'll fall backwards some, but not as often. It's so cute to see her sitting up and playing!
~She still gets up once a night, and she's super hungry so I know she still needs to eat. But she always goes right back to sleep easily so it's not a big deal. She usually wakes up anywhere from 1-4am.
~Cate is wearing size 6 months clothes and size 2 diapers.
~She started saying a few consonant sounds! Luke was closer to eight months before he started saying consonant sounds so we were a little shocked when we heard her say "da da da da da"! And I heard her say "ma" one time too! She really only says them when she's fussy--like when she wants someone to get her out of the exersaucer. But we've been practicing!
~Cate is a really good napper which I'm so thankful for. She's not really consistent in her nap times but that's probably because our schedule changes every day. If we're home all day, she'll take two long naps and some cat naps.
~She sleeps with a pink hippo lovie. As soon as we give it to her, she likes to rub it on her face. It's really cute.
~Cate's favorite toys are her blocks, teething ring, and rattles. She also loves holding wrappers that crinkle--she'll play with those for a long time. Cate really likes sitting in her exersaucer too.
~Everything goes in her mouth. Everything.
~She loves her big brother and thinks he's the funniest thing ever. She especially loves it when he jumps in front of her.
We love our sweet baby girl so much and are so thankful for her.
