Cate at 3 months

Happy 3 months to our sweet Cate!

At 3 months:

~Cate is an absolute joy and the easiest baby ever!  We know how blessed we are to have such a sweet, content baby girl, and we are incredibly thankful. 

 ~Cate is definitely more alert these days and loves to be sitting up watching all the action in our house.  She rarely gets fussy--only if she's hungry or needs to go to sleep.  Sometimes she'll drift off to sleep so easily and other times she wants to be rocked.  Lately, I've been putting her in her basinet, and she'll go to sleep pretty easily without being rocked.

~She's not a fan of her carseat.  She does get a little fussy in the car, but usually if I roll her window down a little bit, she calms down. 

~Cate sleeps through the night probably 4 nights out of the week!!!  Give or take a night.  Praise God!  We put her down around 7:30 or 8:00, and she'll sleep until 6ish.  Crazy!  If she wakes up, it's usually around 4, but she goes back to sleep easily after she eats.

~Since she sleeps so much at night, she eats about every 2-3 hours during the day. 

 ~She smiles all the time especially when we talk to her.  And she's starting to laugh more too which is totally adorable.  She's also starting to talk more, and it's so cute to hear.

~Cate will not take a paci, and we've tried and tried because she really needs it.  There are times when she just needs that sucking to soothe her, but she doesn't want the paci.  We'll keep trying though.  She loves her hands and can usually get them in her mouth, so I'm thinking she might be a thumb-sucker eventually. 

~Cate wears 3 month clothes now, and they fit her perfectly.  We just moved her up to size 2 diapers.  She could probably still wear the size 1 diapers but they were a little snug so we went ahead and moved her up since we had lots of size 2 diapers.

 ~Cate likes her playmat and will lay on it for a good 20 minutes staring at the octopus and other things that hang down.  Unfortunately, Luke and our dog love her playmat too so we have to make sure they stay away from her when she's laying on it!

 ~Since Cate loves sitting up, we've been putting her in the bumbo more.  She really likes sitting in it when we're eating dinner and when I'm in the kitchen cleaning. 

 ~She does not like tummy time.  Cate grunts and huffs and puffs the whole time she's on her belly. 

~One of her favorite things to do is watch Luke play.  She always has her eyes on him and smiles so big when he talks to her.  She also thinks it's really funny when he cries or gets in trouble--that might be a life-long thing for her!

~Cate loves snuggling with Daddy.  She's always really content whenever Cory's holding her, and then as soon as he gives her to me, she wants to eat and gets fussy!  It's pretty funny and totally predictable.

~We love our sweet Cate so much and love getting to know her personality.  It's hard to even remember what our family was like without her.  She is such a blessing.
