Cate~Two months

Two Months!!
I can't believe that Cate is already two months old.  It really is flying by so much faster than it did with Luke.  Cate is an absolute joy, and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter, easier baby.

At two months:
~Cate is content 99% of the day.  She rarely fusses unless she gets hungry or wants to be held, but she's super easy to calm down so it isn't a big deal when she does get fussy.  She's just SO easy!

~She's a great sleeper.  Most nights she gets up twice, but sometimes only once.  Amazing considering what her brother was like!  She takes a good nap between each feeding.  She's just like me--she can sleep anywhere at anytime.  :)

~She loves to be held, and she's already a daddy's girl.  We started noticing this week that she gets fussy everyday right when Cory comes home from work.  And I think it's because she hears his voice and wants him to hold her.  The second Cory picks her up, she's the happiest baby again.  Luke is a complete Momma's boy, so I know Cory is happy to have a Daddy's girl.

~Cate LOVES to eat.  She varies how long she'll go between each feeding--sometimes it's three hours, sometimes it's 1 1/2-2 hours.
~Cate smiles all the time.  She loves being talked to.  And she loves it when Luke talks to her especially.  Luke even made up a song that he sings whenever she starts crying.  It's his "orange, red" song, and he sings it at the top of his lungs.  And Cate will either cry harder or she'll stop crying--it's a toss-up.

~She's already had her first ER visit.  And hopefully the last...  Thankfully she won't remember it.  Wish I didn't!

~We haven't taken her to the dr for her two month appt yet, but last week she weighed exactly 10 pounds.  She had gained 2 1/2 pounds since her two week appt.  I told you she loves to eat!
~She really likes laying on her playmat and looking at Mr. Octopus.  It's when she talks the most. Both of my babies just love(d) that octopus!

~Cate is moving out of her newborn clothes and into her 3 month ones.  Most of her 3m clothes are too big, but her newborn ones are just a little two snug.  She wears size 1 diapers.

~We think she's getting a little more hair on top of her head, but it's so light and fine that it's hard to tell.  She has the exact same hair color as Luke--strawberry blond.  I feel like the hair that's on top is much blonder than the hair in the back so I'm not sure what color it will end up being.

~She's doing a great job of holding her head up.  It's still a little wobbly, but we tried out the bumbo this week for the first time, and she did really well.  It will be a little while before she can really sit in it without her head falling forward, but it was a good start!

Cate is such a blessing to our lives, and we can't imagine our lives without her. We fall more and more in love with her everyday!

She is so sweet! I guess it's only fair that she's a Daddy's girl since Luke is a Momma's boy!
