Wow! Luke started doing so many new things this month! He is becoming such a big boy now!
At nine months:
Luke weighs 17 lbs 9 oz (10th-25th percentile)
and his height is 28 inches (40th percentile)
~Luke is crawling! He's been really crawling for about a week and a half now! Luke is no longer content to sit and play with a toy--he wants to go, go, go! We are in the process of baby-proofing our house because Luke is so curious about everything he's not supposed to have--outlets, cords, dog bones, and shoes!

~He's talking! They are seriously the cutest sounds we've ever heard (besides his laugh of course!). He mostly says 'ba ba ba' and sometimes 'ma ma ma'. We're working hard on those 'da da's!
~Luke slept all the way through the night for about a week, and it was wonderful! But then he got sick and that ended. So as of right now, we're still getting up once or twice a night to eat. He's still a really hungry baby!
~His favorite toys are his cell phone, all of his little balls, and his music class shaker. Lately he's been very content to play with kitchen utensils (the ice cream scoop and wire whisk!) and empty boxes! I had some of his toys spread out on the floor and he crawled over to the box from our new iron and had the best time playing with that instead!
~Luke wears 6 and 9 month clothes right now. A lot of his nine month stuff is still a little too big for him, but he's almost there.
~Luke tolerates his crib now! I wasn't sure if this would ever happen to be honest, but he goes to bed without crying now. And at nap time, I put him in his crib and he plays for a little bit with his stuff animals and then falls right to sleep! Amazing! Sometimes he still puts up a fight and wants to be held and rocked, but much less than it used to be!
~He's getting more hair! He likes to pull on his hair and twirl it while he's eating. Before he wanted to reach up and yank on my hair the whole time he ate, so I'm really happy that he found his own hair!
~Luke's bedtime is around 7:30 and he usually wakes up ready to start the day around 6:45 in the morning. He takes one BIG nap sometime during the day (about 2 hours) and then he'll take several one hour naps throughout the day. He still has to take a nap between each three hour feeding or he gets really grumpy--we call him Mr. Grumples when he doesn't get that nap in!
~Luke is letting more and more people hold him and getting over the stranger anxiety. He still has to get used to people before he lets them hold him. You can tell that he's really unsure about new people at first, but then he usually gives them his flirty grin.
~He still loves to snuggle although not as much now that he's crawling.
~His favorite baby foods are sweet potatoes, pears, and apples. He's really not too picky, but you can tell he really loves those three things! Whenever Cory feeds him at night, Luke loves to spit his food all over the place. Luke thinks it is the funniest thing and he looks so proud of himself! It is hilarious!
~Luke enjoys his weekly trips to music class, storyhour, the park, and Target (yes, I think we end up going every week!)
Luke at storyhour with his friends, Cooke and Madison.
~He pulls himself up so that he's standing up on his knees. He loves to dig in his toy baskets and play on the outside of the exersaucer like this. Last night he used me to pull himself up to standing--that was a first!
~Luke loves bathtime! He has so much fun splashing in the water and playing with his water toys!
~He laughs a lot and has the sweetest smile. A laugh and a smile from sweet Luke makes everything better!
